The truth is, marriages are intensely personal and they are defined not by courts or by voters, but by the people who live inside of them. That’s traditional marriage; people making a private, daily, lifelong commitment. We can’t make gay marriage illegal because gay marriage is already happening. It has been happening for as long as human beings have been pledging themselves to each other.

You're job is to not correct this sentence.
*Your
I don’t feel bad correcting this, because it doesn’t say that it is my job not to. Also, no, I am not job.

that night when you kissed me i left a poem in your mouth
you can hear some of the lines every time you breathe out
and it’s not the best thing i’ve ever written
i’m still working on my rhythm
my tongue gets tied sometimes
my throat gets dry
my hands start trembling honestly
the only thing i’ve mastered is how to write a really good ending
but i’m getting pretty tired of finish lines
so this morning i bought a needle and thread
and started stitching you a sunrise

We grow up being told that anger is bad. Good girls do not express their anger, good girls play nice, they accommodate, they please. It is time we start looking at anger differently. Why are we so bent on suppressing this anger when for so many, it is the only emotion left in the face of injustice? Why should young women appear compliant and docile when they are obviously being subjected to violence or inequity? Why shouldn’t anger be a legitimate drive for our politics? Change will not come because we ask for permission, change will happen because we leave no other alternative.

I cried.
I know I don’t have many followers, but please, all of you reblog this. It’s extremely touching, true and hits home for me pretty hard. Try to spread this around as much as you can. Make a change in someones life. <3
This…well, when it started, it was like being in my own head from several different times in my life.
